Our New Western Home Office

I am so excited to finally be sharing our new home office on the blog ! ! !

In less than a month, this space has helped make our day-to-day life working from home so so much better! ! ! !

We have a 3 bedroom home and before we got pregnant with Corbin we actually had a home office and guest room. Well when we decided to transform he guest room into his nursery, we moved everything that was into the guest room into the office, which became our guest room | office which then quickly turned into a storage room for everything that did not have a home as well as the items Corbin grew out of, needless to say Lance and myself had, had enough of the catch all room as well as editing, invoicing and doing phone calls at our kitchen table. And well that began the office remodel.

First we purchased a connex for our property that is now our own personal storage unit and we emptied out the room.

We then spent time looking at desk and storage options for the office that we both liked, it was actually a super fun project to do together.

We chose the desk because not only was it super affordable but it was the perfect size for the room and we loved the wood finish and black industrial metal look.

The one thing that Lance didn’t have much say in was the desk chair because honestly I could not find one that I loved more than this chair, it gave a amazing western feel and it is very comfortable to work in.

The Aztec rug was exactly what I envisioned for the office. I have the 4x6 version and it takes up just the perfect amount of room under the desk and fun fact we actually have the rug upside down because I didn't want the fringe side up and you would honestly never know if I didn’t tell you. The only light in the office right now is the chandelier and originally, I had ordered the chandelier for a western wedding shoot I did and had no intention of it to go in the office, but after seeing the office come together with the black industrial metal and knowing we needed to replace the light fixture eventually it made a perfect fit.

While we may have totally dragged our feet in creating a space for the past year we both have come to agree that we both needed this space to run our business better.
